So I got a letter from Texas today and I'm not accepted into the Writing thesis program - but this isn't to say that I'm not accepted into the English dept or that if I get accepted into the dept that I won't be accepted into the program after my intro courses. And so I wait to see if I can get into the school and then I'll go from there.

But overwhelmingly right now I want to give up. I want to say, "what the hell" and drop out. It's so frustrating that everywhere I turn since being an undergrad I'm being told that my writing isn't "right".

Let's face it - I hate my fiction writing class at Chatham.

Irony is - I love my poetry class.

Maybe I'm in the wrong field.

Would I be throwing it all away if I switched to poetry? But them what in the world would I do with my life?

Goodness, that's a good suggestion. PLEASE COME HERE AND TAKE OVER TERMAN'S JOB. If you can get your MFA like, tomorrow, I promise I'll make the spot available for you... All I have to do is get together the right people... I could see to it that Terman has a little "accident" some time soon... Oh ho ho ho... Devilish laugh...
