I actually didn't do this comm challenge for 2013, and the one that I did I don't know what I set as a word count, or how many words I wrote.

I have to get some structure back in my writing for 2014 and make some goals and work toward them.

I'm doing a goal of 300,000 words in 2014.

Wow! That's a very ambitious goal!

I'm clearing the decks right now because I'll be starting training for the marathon on January 7th. I'm not sure I'll have the energy or the inclination to write during that time, which means I won't be able to start until after the race on May 4th.

As such, I've basically given myself permission not to write a single word for the next several months. If the spirit moves me and something comes out, so much the better, but I'd just rather not put pressure on myself, you know?

Thankfully, the Creative Writing program I want to take doesn't start until the fall.

I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines! :)

I've left (Or placed onhold) my landcomm stuff, I'll use ncis_verse for writing prompt purposes when I can, but I need to get structured with my writing again and spend less time with graphics, and tumblr reblogs and such.

I've been sketching out a series of short stories that I want to work on, plus some fanfic stuff that I keep sticking on the back burner and making excuses for ... I need to just start writing again.

I hear you. I think the break will do me good, and I'm hoping to get back into the writing full-tilt come June.
