GO SHOPPING!!! Nothing says confidence in an interview like a smart new outfit.

Can't comment on the episode, as I didn't watch. Sorry... ;)

But the horridness is in the preview for next week.

And the budget is not friendly 2 days before payday for an interview outfit. :(

That's why God made plastic!!!

And I'm sure you're exaggerating about the "little chubby butterball" observation. Wear a v-neck or dress shirt, and a jacket that falls anywhere except the widest part of the hip. Slacks are nice, wide leg is slimming. Or a skirt that falls at the knee or just above.

Keep the top & bottom in similar colours or at least both light or both dark - that will lengthen your look and avoid you looking chopped up in the middle. And of course, NO horizontal stripes - vertical ones are good though.

I used to do image consulting - trust me on this. You'll be great, I have faith!

I would rather see people try too hard than that one time that a girl walked in in a tube top and a mini skirt!

I know, I think trousers and nice sweater/shirt would be a good compromise.

Ok, I see why you're feeling unsettled. It would actually be easier if you didn't have the casual option.

In that case, I'd go with slacks and a sweater or nice blouse with a cardigan over top. Kind of "business casual".

I'm sure they'll get a real mixture, but remember: first impressions ARE important, no matter what they say to the contrary. I wouldn't go the jeans route...doing just that little bit extra to present yourself professionally will go a long way to sending a message about how serious you are about this job.

Good luck, sweetie!

Could you maybe change in the bathroom just before the interview?
